Snow blower injuries to the hand occur more often in heavy wet snow associated with temperatures greater than 28 degrees F and snowfall of over 6 inches. Knowing this and practicing safe use of a snow blower can prevent injuries to the hand and fingers. Use care when using a snowblower, be safe and prevent injury. Let others know about what they can do to eliminate these injuries this winter and every winter. The doctors and the staff of the Hand Center of Western Massachusetts wish all a safe and happy winter.
