In the winter of 2014, my family and I took a vacation to our homeland, Myanmar. While it is still very difficult to travel to certain countries, Myanmar is one of the last countries to open its doors to tourism. Because tourism hasn't been encouraged until very recently, a lot of the countryside remains "untouched." Having never been to Asia before, and traveling with parents who haven't been since childhood, I'm overjoyed to have explored this frontier.
"[We] would welcome visitors who are keen to promote the welfare of the common people and the conservation of the environment and to acquire an insight into the cultural, political and social life of the country while enjoying a happy and fulfilling holiday in Burma."
