Europe, 2016. The so-called refugee crisis has left its mark in many places: border controls and refugee camps are suddenly normal. But with the crisis came the challenge, not only politically, but above all the social: how can refugees and residents live in a common society? Three people from Germany want to contribute their part and travel through Europe for five months with a storage container that has been developed into a mobile kitchen. In Italy, France, Germany, the Netherlands and Sweden, they organize cooking events and meet different people, fugitives and residents, and their stories. In the container when cooking and eating together, many problems, but also chances of a new society are discussed. The film shows above all: Europe is not the same Europe everywhere. Each country, every place has its own challenges and local peculiarities in the struggle for justice and humanity for all. The film leads to borders, refugee camps, intermediate stations and new homes. He tells a complex story of escape, which affects both the fugitives and the residents. A tale of racism, love, civil courage, second chances and the reality of European asylum policy.
