Keyman Modern Turkish Studies Program

The Keyman Modern Turkish Studies Program was founded in 2005 at Northwestern University’s Buffett Institute for Global Affairs. The Program promotes intellectual dialogue and scholarship to provide a deeper, interdisciplinary, and critical understanding of contemporary Turkey in connection with global social processes, problems or conflicts.

Activity:

hosts seminars and conferences on critical issues; funds research by Northwestern faculty, graduate and undergraduate students; offers Postdoctoral Fellowship, Visiting Professor and Visiting Scholar programs; supports undergraduate teaching on topics related to Turkey; facilitates study abroad and exchange programs in Turkey; funds the university library’s acquisitions in the area of modern Turkish studies.
