The United Nations University Gender Equality and Studies Programme (UNU-GEST) works to promote gender equality and women’s empowerment in developing countries and post-conflict societies through research and education.

The UNU-GEST's main target group are professionals working for government and civil society organisations in developing countries and post-conflict societies undergoing reconstruction. The UNU-GEST Programme also offers short courses and seminars which are open for professionals from both developed and developing countries.

The UNU-GEST Programme is run by the University of Iceland.
