This is a small compilation of our rehearsal day with the fantastic historical church organ in the Grote Kerk of Oosthuizen. The instrument even has sixteenth-century parts, and is tuned in high pitch (a'=466Hz, 1/4 comma meantone temperament). This tuning suits the Italian Seicento repertoire very well!
The Castello Consort is a young ensemble that specializes in the historically informed performance of seventeenth-century music. The ensemble consists of four instrumentalists: Elise van der Wel (violin), Matthijs van der Moolen (sackbut), Anne-Linde Visser (violoncino) and Henriëtte Wirth (organ).
