I've wanted to make one of these for about 6 years now but the main thing holding me back was the case fabrication. Fortunately Downing was kind enough to release the stl files for for this case, and I just so happen to have a 3D printer. (...Continued)

So a few things to note here, after reviewing the video it in no way compares to how the screen looks in person. In the video its picking up a ton of distortion (for lack of a better word) that isnt visible in person. There is no emulation involved in this project, housed inside is an actual Nintendo 64 motherboard cut down to the proper size for the case. The battery life of the portable lasts roughly 3 and half to 4 hours (Im sure this will go down as the battery degrades from normal usage). The screen can also be switched in the menu settings from 16:9 to 4:3. Another thing that isnt mentioned is in the top right corner of the screen it appears to be damaged. This is actually a cut off pull tab for the screen protector that came on the screen.
Thank you for watching and again if you have any questions about this project please feel free to ask them or leave your opinions below!
