On the Way to a Smile is a series of short stories taking place between the events of Final Fantasy VII and Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children. Written by Kazushige Nojima, the first story, "Case of Denzel", was released in episodes on the official Japanese Advent Children website, and was released together with "Case of Tifa" in V-Jump's Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children Prologue book. "Case of Barret" was released originally in English, with the North American and European limited edition box set of Advent Children.
On the Way to a Smile was released simultaneously with Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children Complete, collecting the short stories in book format, with the Japanese version of "Case of Barret", as well as four new stories: "Case of Yuffie", "Case of Nanaki", "Case of Shinra", and "Case of Lifestream".
Based on these novellas, this audiobook series, directed and produced by TheLifestream.net member Pixel, follows our favourite characters as they come to terms with the events of Final Fantasy VII. Featuring an impressive cast of voice actors and beautiful musical compositions, this is a mandatory listen for anyone who is a fan of FFVII.
TheLifestream.net's playthrough of Final Fantasy 7 with commentary from fans
Welcome to our Let's Play walkthrough of Final Fantasy VII.
In this let's play series, we aim to bring you informative and entertaining commentary from true fans of the Final Fantay franchise. Final Fantasy VII in particular.
Most of our team played FF7 back in 1997 when it was first released on Playstation and PC. It holds a special place in all of our hearts.
During our walkthrew, we try to keep a laid back approach, often veering off into tangents.
We talk a lot about what we would like to see if Square Enix did an FF7 remake, our personal experiences with FFVII, as well as Compilation titles such as Advent Children, AC Complete, Crisis Core, Dirge of Cerberus, Before Crisis and On The Way To A Smile. As well as other Final Fantasy games, RPGs, and videogames in general.
I'm sure you've noticed FF7's translation isn't exactly the best. Over the years, Square have plastered a few of the cracks... but those are only minor rewordings.
In this series of videos, we will return to the planet, and tell the story as it was intended to be told. Not just the broad strokes, but the minute characterizations. We're aiming to get the translation as accurate as possible. We may not get everything 100%, but it will be better than any translation you've ever seen of this game.
