  • Evan Ferrante is Not Tom Cruise CHANNEL TRAILER

I've been at this a while. Let's see, I first discovered I had this uncanny ability to act and sound like the biggest movie star on this planet back in college, good ol' Boston University. Jerry Maguire had just come out, and my best friend told me I had Tom's natural speaking voice. He encouraged me to memorize some lines so that we could gain access to freshman girl's dorm rooms. He did a genuinely solid Jean Claude Van Damme impression. Our routine was to knock on the door and introduce ourselves as Tom Cruise and JVCD respectively. Our scheme worked 75% of the time. Not too shabby. I started semi-professionally impersonating Tom Cruise years later on in 2005, when my girlfriend pushed me to post a video of myself doing a montage of T.C's finest performances on a newly launched platform for posting and sharing videos called YouTube. I'm old. Anyways, it was a modest hit, and that gentle nudge got me all the work you see in this video, and due to the constraints of editing a trailer and the fact that attention spans are severely lacking these days, I've had to leave a tremendous amount of work on the cutting room floor. But don't you fret, in this channel trailer, you'll see interviews with Michael Arrington of Tech Crunch fame and fortune; to insanely epic videos with the great Sam Macaroni; to being hired to write, direct, and star in 3 spots for Australia's "Famous" Magazine; to acting alongside Robin Wright in THE CONGRESS, directed by Ari Folman; to doing the trilogy," Tom Cruise is a Cockblock," an ingenious series created by my childhood friend Ross Kohn; to being flown to New Zealand to host the 24 Hour Film Festival; to being flown to Dubuque Iowa to slide across the floor in my underwear; to having my own series with Disney's Take180 Studios; from Sketch comedy with Nathan Barnatt, Taryn Southern, and Kassem G; to shooting a FAKE Twilight Audition; and so much more. It's been a wild ride. And I'm not quite ready to throw in the towel. When it comes to impersonating Tom Cruise, there are endless possibilities.

Special Thanks to everyone who has gotten me to where I am today, from Will Keenan, to Chris Williams, to Sam Macaroni, Gabriel Sunday, and Richie Keen.

Excited to have joined CDS, also known as Collective Digital Studio. Many thanks to manager Brian Lieberman, who is very reliable when it comes to returning calls and emails. Also, thanks to longtime manager Steve Stewart, who has seen some semblance of potential in me from the get go.
