James Congdon, DO, an oncologist with the Cancer Care Partnership explains a new innovative pain therapy treatment Calmare®. Patients who have received chemotherapy treatment often suffer lingering, painful neuropathy in their feet or legs. Calmare®, a non-invasive procedure has been able to reverse that pain by utilizing disposable electrodes at the areas of greatest discomfort by transmitting "no-pain" messages to the nerves. Several treatments are required, but the method is painless and in many cases patients were able to reverse their pain.
