On this "Late Week" on Last Week in Science, we deer mating, crabs and domoic acid, and partial human chimeras.
Unless you are on a reality show or are a model, you might not want cameras in your face all the time. Especially at really intimate times with your loved one. Well, it seems like we might have to afford deer the same respect or there will be consequences.
California is having a bit of a Crab shortage after Domoic Acid created by Algal Blooms, has infected the crabs in the area. If eaten, you can get sick and in some really intense cases you could die.
We breath in fungal spores everyday...they are everywhere. But then a fungal spore has a sugar coating that get it past the white blood cells, that is dangerous.
Partial Human chimeras have been around for years in science. But what if animals could talk or they could create human sex cells because of stem cells implanted in them. What would they look like? Would we be creating our own Dr. Moreau's Island?
