Vahram Sargsyan (Sarkissian)

Vahram Sargsyan (Sarkissian) is a Montreal-based composer and experimental vocalist who through his unaltered vocal-only performances unites world's numerous diverse music traditions.
He pushes the boundaries of vocal music by developing and producing sounds that are beyond the conventional perception of the human voice. Through the huge variety of sound production methods and his 7 octave vocal range he alters the notion of singing itself thus often creating a magical, even 'extraterrestrial' soundscape.
One of the distinct characteristics of Sarkissian's music is his preference for authentic vocal sound production over digital sound effects and artificial sound modifications thus making his music as 'acoustic' as possible.
