“Folky, sensitive and splendid" – Musix Magazin

When singer-songwriter Johannes "Jojo" Stang put his home-made music videos online in September 2015, he had no idea what this would lead to. The videos went viral and attracted the attention of other musicians. “The Rehats” was born.

With their authentic, handmade songs with hit potential, the Rehats toured Germany, Austria and Switzerland, appearing at major festivals such as the legendary Chiemsee Summer and the Lörrach Voices Festival. In 2019 the band produced their debut album with award-winning producer Wolfgang Stach. The album made “Album of the Week” and rotation on various stations, including WDR. 

For the new album a co-writer came on board for the first time. Canadian songwriter Simon Ward from the "Strumbellas" landed a world hit in 2016 with "Spirits" and achieved gold status in Germany. The results of this cooperation can be heard on the album, which is scheduled for release in 2022.
