Katya SoMoEx

Привет! I'm Katya - a child of the late Soviet era.
Welcome to my channel, where I use my favourite and nostalgic movies as an illustration AND a pretext to talk about the daily life of ordinary Soviet people and its aspects that shaped us into the nations and countries that we are now.

There are a lot of myths and stereotypes that surround the USSR that was perceived as a menace by many Western people for almost half a century.
In no way am I trying to dissuade those, but merely provide an insight from the other side of the Iron Curtain, which for my grandparents, parents and me was just... life.
