Dr Alex - Our Pets Health

Looking after your pet can be tough. When you're worried, confused by conflicting advice or stretched by the cost of care, it can be hard to know what to do next.

I'm Dr Alex Avery, a practising vet with over 20 years of clinical experience. Here at Our Pets Health, I help you understand your options and feel more confident about the decisions you make for your dog or cat.

I'll help you work out what you can safely do at home, when you need your vet, and what to ask when you get there. You'll also learn how to spot problems early and prevent common illnesses.

I investigate pet health claims, products and trends too—explaining the evidence in plain English so you can decide what's worth your time and money.

You want to give your pet a healthy, happy life. I'm here to help you find practical ways to do that, whatever your circumstances.
