Welcome - you have arrived at the Society for One-Place Studies' YouTube Channel. This is the place to view our webinars and other presentations. We are all about family history and local history. If you are interested in one-place studies, have an ongoing one-place study and/or have joined our Society, we hope you subscribe and join in the conversations.

What is a one-place study? It is the study of local history or place combined with family history. The study could be of a street, a community, a village, or a town. You  might trace early vital records (births/baptisms, marriages, deaths/burials) and the civic records (censuses, land records, taxes, voting records, newspaper articles). You might be looking at local histories (those of the place, the schools, the church & civic groups). You might reconstruct families who lived in that place through time. It's up to you!
