Ivey's Family Factotum

Welcome to Ivey’s Family Factotum – Forging and Milling a Legacy in the Ouachita Mountains.

Based in West Central Arkansas, bordering the Ouachita National Forest, this channel is dedicated to the traditional crafts of custom blacksmithing, metalworking, and portable sawmilling. We are going back to our roots, taking raw logs and raw steel, and turning them into durable, functional creations right here on the homestead.

Why "Factotum"? A Factotum is a "jack of all trades" who handles many responsibilities. In our shop and at the mill, we do it all—shaping hot iron at the forge and milling custom lumber on the sawmill. We focus on true self-reliance, utilizing traditional skills and heavy equipment to create everything from custom metalwork to finished timber.
