DruggableGenome IDG

This channel is associated with the Illuminating the Druggable Genome (IDG) consortium funded by NIH Common Fund aimed to highlight new targets within 3 protein families (kinase, GPCR, and ion channel) for future drug development by Data and Resource Generating Centers (DRGCs) with the aid of assessing current knowledge across the entire human genome via Knowledge Management Centers (KMC), and exposing these findings via the Resource Dissemination and Outreach Center (RDOC).  In addition there are Cutting Edge Informatics Tools (CEITs), which aid interpretation and visualization of data for these understudied targets. NIH have also funded a number of IDG-associated R03 grants for Pilot Projects Investigating Understudied G Protein-Coupled Receptors, Ion Channels, and Protein Kinases.
