Abdul Kalam Technical University, Lucknow and is approved by the All India Council for Technical Education. The college was established in 1998 and offers B.Tech courses in seven disciplines of Engineering namely Computer Science and Engineering, Information Technology, Electronics and Communication Engineering, Electronics and Instrumentation Engineering, Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Mechanical Engineering and Civil Engineering. 

AKGEC is one of the best engineering college in Ghaziabad, Uttar Pradesh and has been ranked in top five best engineering colleges in Delhi NCR. AKGEC has the distinction of being the first and only one college in UP to receive the Academic Excellence Award for the Best Engineering College in Uttar Pradesh from H.E. the Governor of UP for two successive years.
