Hi, I’m Pete, or Trees. This channel is all about music and sound—synth builds and repairs, modular explorations, and creative journeys into dub, ambient, techno, and more.

From 2008 to 2014, I ran JustQualityMusic (JQM) and JQM Recordings in Chicago and DC, organizing events, managing a record label, and building lasting connections across North America and Europe. After stepping away from music, I moved to LA, then Austin, Texas, where I rediscovered my passion during the pandemic.

In 2024, I launched 'DFFRNT,' a podcast exploring unique music from Bandcamp labels I admire. Though the podcast is now archived, you can find episodes here on the channel. Today, I also run The Nite Owls (theniteowls.org), an artist management company supporting talent in underground electronic music.
