At the 2017 Burning Man Global Leadership Conference in Oakland, founding board member and Chief Transition Officer Harley Dubois contends that the "it" is what happens when we step out of the game of money, value and material status and start working on and giving to something we believe in.
The Burning Man Global Leadership Conference (GLC) is an annual conference of Burning Man community leadership that happens each spring in San Francisco. From humble beginnings in 2007, where 70 Regional Contacts joined us at Burning Man HQ, the GLC has since grown to include over 600 participants from around the world.
The Burning Man Global Network is an ever growing collection of official Burning Man regional events that celebrate the global spread of Burning Man culture and highlight the best of the local Burner community.
Regional groups also contribute by bringing art pieces or interactive areas to Black Rock City to represent a regions unique gifts.
