Austin ISD will hold a third round of community meetings in January and February to solicit input to support the update of the district's Facility Master Plan.
The FMP outlines the current status and future use of district facilities. It will guide the development of capital improvements and support planning for any potential bond elections.
AISD hired consultants to determine the condition of the district's buildings and their suitability to provide an excellent educational environment. Also, the consultants are working with the district's Facility and Bond Planning Advisory Committee to update the FMP and provide bond recommendations to the board.
The meetings are open houses, allowing community members to come and go according to their schedules. Staff and consultants will be available to answer questions and gather feedback.
