Mount Shasta Avalanche Center

Welcome to the Mt Shasta Avalanche Center (MSAC) YouTube channel. Here we will post videos with the latest weather and avalanche conditions, concerns and/or anything else we find useful to backcountry users!
The MSAC is located in Mt. Shasta, Ca, about 45 minutes south of the Oregon border. Some call it Northern California and others call it Jefferson State! Either way, we love it here and hope you do too.
Our avalanche forecast area encompasses about 60 square miles including Mt Shasta, Mt Eddy and the Caslte lake areas. We currently issue avalanche advisories Fri-Sun along with weekly updates during storm cycles.
