Rural Enterprises Programme (REP)

REP is a Government of Ghana initiative aimed at reducing rural poverty, creating jobs, and improving livelihoods. Through support for micro and small enterprises, REP helps rural entrepreneurs grow profitable businesses and contribute to local economic development.

Backed by strong partnerships with IFAD, AfDB, District Assemblies, and the private sector, REP's cost is estimated at US$248 million to provide:
✅ Business Development Services – skills training, coaching, and advisory support
✅ Processing Infrastructure & Technology – modern facilities and technology to add value to local products
✅ A Better Business Environment – improved access to finance, stronger institutions, and youth agribusiness support through ENABLE Youth/1D1F

Since 2012, REP has empowered rural businesses nationwide, expanded employment opportunities—especially for young people—and strengthened Ghana’s rural economy.
