Durg Sanskruti

A fort can be admired for its walls, gateways and views. Beyond its architecture lies a deeper story of planning, teamwork, resource management, risk management and resilience.

Driven by their interest in people development, leadership and history, the founders of GATI explored the legacy of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj beyond his personality and leadership. They were fascinated by the systems behind the forts — the organisation, communication, engineering and strategic thinking that made them enduring examples of effective leadership.

This sparked a simple idea: forts are not just monuments; they are rich learning environments.

Thus, Durg Sanskruti was born, connecting fort culture with work culture. Through corporate programmes, lectures, seminars, learning exhibits, books and educational material, it brings historical insights to life.

Its aim is to draw lessons from our forts to strengthen leadership, improve work systems and help people and organisations work better today.
