Are you looking for more comfort when you sleep? Do you experience pressure points on your hips and shoulders? A pocket sprung mattress will mold to your shape more easily than the standard 'open' or Bonnel spring.
Are you and your partner different shapes and sizes? Sounds like a funny question, but if you are, pocket sprung mattresses mean you won't roll together in the middle of your mattress whenever one of you moves. Perfect!
As you'll see, pocket spring mattresses are very popular because of this ability to adapt to your individual shape. For extra comfort, look for a memory foam topped pocket spring. Again, these are incredibly popular (and comfortable!)
How does a pocket spring work? The springs aren't connected to each other, so when pressure is applied to a spring, it doesn't 'drag down' the springs around it, which is what creates that annoying 'roll together'.
What do the spring counts mean? The higher the spring count, the more support you get. So if you want to own a firmer mattress, go for a 2000 pocket sprung mattress.

I'm Carl Walsh, the Bed Guru, and when you go to bed tonight, think of me.
Nothing offers you a great night's sleep like a memory foam mattress. It contours to the shape of your body, relieving stress of pressure points like backs, hips, and knees, meaning extra comfort when you're lying in bed.
Most people don't know, but 'memory foam mattresses' aren't completely full of memory foam! Instead, there's a layer of memory foam on top of the springs, so be sure to get a decent set of springs to go with it. I recommend combining memory with pocket springs for the ideal combination of support and luxurious softness.
