Your Hairapy Session with Emily

Hi! My name is Emily Mazour (@portlandhairstylist) and I've been a hairstylist since 2006 in the Portland, OR area. When I first completed beauty school at Northwest College of Hair Design I then got into an apprenticeship at one of the top salons in Portland. From there I've worked in hourly, and commission salons, I've also taught and now have been leasing since 2004. Currently I lease in a salon in the Pearl District and have been there since 2005. I love it! Within the salon I have my own private studio. It's beautiful. Clean, white, accents of wood and several of my plants decorate the space. I love my studio and my clients, but now I'm craving more. I created this channel and podcast "Your Hairapy Session with Emily" to document my journey to becoming a salon owner. On the show I not only go into my own hair journey, but I interview salon owner's, stylists and other creatives who have made an impact in the Portland community and beyond.
