无为寺 WuWeiSi Temple

On the height of 2200 meters above the sea, there is a hidden temple in the mountains. In the very middle of it grows the ancient more than 1200 years old tree, which was planted there by the first Master of the Temple.
The day starts at 05:30 with a gong and monk's chanting. Monks there live without electricity, hot water and eat only vegan food. Every day repeats itself: 9 hours of practice Kung-Fu, Tai-Chi, Qi-Gong, 2 hours of pray (morning and evening), 2 hours of meditation and 2 hours of free time (to drink tea and for calligraphy practice). At 21:30 the temple turns into a dark and quiet forest and only wind bells and owls accompany the moon light.

Music, any kind of games, smoking and alcohol are strictly forbidden.

In this fast time of computers, internet and nonstop connection with mobile phones, the Temple is a wonderful world of peace, nature and pure Zen teaching.
