Wildlife Center of Southwest Florida

Our Mission: To protect and preserve Southwest Florida’s native wildlife through educational outreach and to rescue and rehabilitate sick, injured, and orphaned wildlife and return them to their natural habitat when healed.

Our wildlife center in Venice, FL started as a backyard project, seeing about 315 animals per year. In 2020, we had a record year and we cared for over 6,000 animals! The Wildlife Center of Southwest Florida is a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that cares for native wild birds, mammals and reptiles, with the exception of marine mammals. Additionally, through various programs we strive to educate the community on how to successfully co-exist with our wildlife and the importance of it to our environment and ecosystems.
