Root and Reason

Root and Reason, the food resilience collective, is shaping change in the UK food system by cultivating informed, system-wide collaboration.

We connect policymakers, businesses, front-line services and community groups, linking evidence and practice to design and implement change that works.

Our focus is on building a resilient food system that is prepared, empowered and equitable — where change happens with people, not to them.

Follow for insights, discussions and practical approaches to systemic change rooted in readiness, accountability and justice.

**In April 2026 The AFN Network+ became Root and Reason, the food resilience collective. Our archive of AFN branded videos will remain on our Youtube channel here with a full back catalogue of AFN resources available on our new website: https://rootandreason.org.uk/**
