五七の桐 - The Prime Minister's Crest

Official channel for The Prime Minister's Crest: Path to Power (五七の桐——総理大臣への道), a political sim visual novel by WAWE LLC, an indie studio in Osaka.

In a fictional parallel Japan, ten years into the "Great Stagnation," you are Oriki Kazuma, newly elected governor of a nearly bankrupt prefecture, on the road to Prime Minister.

- 21 budget points. Run a deficit over 9 and the prefecture goes bankrupt.
- Raise, keep, or cut each of 7 departments.
- The prefectural assembly votes on your budget.
- Three rival newspapers spin it three different ways.

All parties and characters are fictional. Text in English, Japanese and Simplified Chinese; no voice acting. AI was used for code and some art, music and translation.
