Bits and pieces representing my 50 years of research in ant biology, as well as my other interests and creations. I have published two books on ant biology (The Fire Ants, Harvard Univ. Press, 2006; Ant Architecture, Princeton Univ. Press, 2021). The societies of ants are a kind of parallel universe so different from our own, and offer a view into an alien world. My videos give glimpses into this world, revealing how ants meet their quotidian challenges in ways that seem strange to us.  Now and then, I will add material from my more artistic endeavors.
