I’m a beginning turner who kind of stumbled into this craft by accident—my wife asked if I could make a mushroom for her Waldorf preschool classroom. That simple request turned into something I can’t seem to walk away from.

Inspired by the calm, steady presence of the late Phil Anderson—the Bob Ross of woodturning—I’m learning to slow down, trust the process, and let the wood tell me what it wants to be.

What you’ll find here is real, mostly raw footage. No fancy production. No over-editing. Just shavings flying, tools humming, and an honest look at the wins, the mistakes, and everything in between.

If you’re into simple craftsmanship, learning as you go, and finding beauty in the process—not just the finished piece—you’re in the right place.
