Vivekananda Youth Circle, IIEST Shibpur

The Vivekananda Youth Circle (popularly known as VYC) was established in 1984 at the then Bengal Engineering College, Shibpur, now known as Indian Institute of Engineering Science and Technology, Shibpur. It is a voluntary, non-political and non-sectarian student organization of this institution working under the guidance of professors. Its members include the students, staff and faculty of the institution. The members meet regularly every week in a study circle, undertake different social activities and organize lectures, seminars etc. Over the years, VYC has been providing excellent opportunities for those youths of the institution who are striving to work, think and build their character on the ideals of Swami Vivekananda.
