To cook healthy meals at home, you have to shop for good ingredients -- wild-caught fish and organic foods when possible. I no longer eat meat or poultry, but if you do, make sure they are free of harmful antibiotics and growth hormones.

I wrote about restaurants and food shopping for the food section of a daily newspaper in northern New Jersey for about 6 years, and after retiring in 2008, I started a food blog called "Do You Really Know What You're Eating?" In 2017, I incorporated that and blogs about electric cars ("Shocking Car News") and my former newspaper ("Eye on The Record") into "The Sasson Report" at blogspot.com.
