Very High Substandard

VERY HIGH SUBSTANDARD is a collection of found VHS tapes, vintage television, commercial breaks, instructional videos, corporate films, home recordings, educational programs, promotional tapes and other analog media abandoned by its original purpose.

The tapes find us. We watch the tapes. We upload the tapes. We destroy the tapes.

To release their ghosts.

Recovered from hand-labeled VHS tapes exhumed from thrift stores, estate sales and retail necropolises. Fluorescent lighting. Damp carpet. No provenance. No witnesses.

We did not create the material contained on these tapes. We simply found it after everyone else was finished with it.

Tracking errors, dropouts, damaged audio, broadcast interference and analog decomposition are retained whenever possible.

What appears here represents the compliant fraction. Saucier artifacts remain withheld on our website.

This is not nostalgia. This is not an archive. This is post-use culture recovered after impact.
