Ventura Land Trust

Ventura Land Trust operates in the Ventura region to protect and conserve open space resources through acquisition of land and easements, stewardship of protected lands, and public education about local natural resources. Ventura Land Trust currently owns and stewards approximately 25 acres of rich riparian land in two locations along the Ventura River: 16 acres south of Foster Park along the Ventura River Trail, and about 9 acres near the Ventura River Estuary, south of the Main Street Bridge. The Land Trust engages the community through a number of events and activities, including an annual environmental film festival, conservation-oriented events on our preserves, participation in community street fairs, and provision of a speakers bureau.
