Urban Sketchers Batangas City

Urban Sketchers, also referred to as USk, is a nonprofit organization and a global community of people that practice drawing on location in cities, towns they live in or travel to.

The USk Manifesto aims to define what urban sketching is all about. The basic idea behind these 8 points is to provide a unifying vision for the global urban sketching community. We encourage diversity in subject matter, style and technique.

We draw on location, indoors or out, capturing what we see from direct observation.
Our drawings tell the story of our surroundings, the places we live and where we travel.
Our drawings are a record of time and place.
We are truthful to the scenes we witness.
We use any kind of media and cherish our individual styles.
We support each other and draw together.
We share our drawings online.
We show the world, one drawing at a time.
