Urban Packrafter

In 2013 I brought a packraft, which totally changed my life. I started documenting my packrafting trips by videos on urbanpackrafter.com and on social media. I hope my film would inspire you to go packraft and paddle inside your city, local lake or sea.

Behind Urban Packrafter is Jacob Kastrup Haagensen. I was born in 1980 in Copenhagen, Denmark, where I lived and worked most of my life. In 2016 I moved into an old railway station in western Sweden with my family and therefore consider myself Scandinavian. My current daytime job is as a city planner in nearby city of Borås.

I’ve done a handful of outdoor documentaries which made it to screenings of mayor film festivals. “Inflatable People” also won the Debutante Prize in 2016 at Nordic Adventure Film Festival. Newest film is Earning a River which premier at Nordic Adventure Film Festival 2020 and won Best Danish Film of the Year 2020.
