Unobtrusive Films

Unobtrusive Films is an independent film production company based in Auckland, New Zealand, founded in 2023.

Built around a passion for distinctive, filmmaker-driven cinema, we creates and curates original short films across narrative, experimental and genre filmmaking.

Our films have been recognised through festival selections and industry nominations, including “Coastal Rhythms: The Monologue” at the New Zealand Youth Film Festival.

We operates as a platform for emerging filmmakers, performers and creatives to develop ambitious ideas independently and bring them to screen. Working with small, collaborative teams, we places an emphasis on strong artistic voices, considered visual storytelling and films that stay with audiences.
