Undercastle Cottage

Explore the only 5-star holiday cottage in the New Forest National Park. Set deep in the woods with no neighbours in sight, just woodland wildlife, water meadows, birds and otters playing in the river. Plus, wild ponies, donkeys and the odd pig or two at the gate. Holidays here are all about slow living in nature and a great gastropub up the lane. Interiors are quiet luxury with a sun terrace, log fire, antique beds topped with handmade mattresses, vaulted ceilings, bespoke window walls, and underfloor heating.  

Set on the banks of the famous Hampshire Avon river, with 2,500m of private fishing rights, the cottage appeared on the BBC’s Gone Fishing with Paul and Bob, who stayed here. Experiences include 1:1 fishing tuition, wildlife & photography trips with a local naturalist, guided foraging days, and time in a dedicated Nature Hide in the woods, where you can watch and photograph badgers and other nocturnal wildlife.
