UNC Clinical Informatics Fellowship Program

The UNC Hospitals Clinical Informatics Fellowship Program is a 2-year ACGME accredited program to train the next generation of physician informatics leaders. We are based in Chapel Hill, NC within our Internationally recognized Information Services Division at UNC Health (ISD), where fellows will gain rich operational, strategic, quality improvement, research, and informatics experiences across multiple settings. UNC ISD was one of the first organizations in the world to achieve HIMSS Level 7 for the Adoption Model for Analytics Maturity and HIMSS Level 7 outpatient and inpatient designations. Recently, UNC Health Care was one of 12 national beta launch partners for Apple’s Health Records. We are the first health system to natively embed a virtual visit platform for telemedicine into Epic, and one of the first customers to launch the Epic Virtual Care Companion application for care coordination and patient engagement.
