A long overdue conversation for Mexico

A long overdue conversation for Mexico is a space to reflect on the challenges facing Mexico and the world, beyond partisan labels and predetermined answers.

We begin with a conviction: human dignity is inherent to every person, but exercising freedom requires real opportunities and capabilities.

The Republicanism of Capabilities proposes four interconnected movements:

Help uplift people: ensure the conditions for a dignified life.

Let people walk: respect each person’s freedom to choose their own path.

Demand mutual respect: uphold responsible freedom, limited by harm to others.

Build community: cooperate and create a shared sense of belonging without erasing our differences.

We examine facts, explore ideas, and question public decisions. Our purpose is not to impose conclusions, but to encourage thoughtful conversations.

The path we build today is also the one we leave to future generations.
