Plague & Remedy

Plague & Remedy is about the diseases that changed history and the strange, clever and sometimes deadly ways people tried to treat them.

Each video takes one disease, one cure or one outbreak and tells it from start to finish, with engravings, photos and documents from the period, many from collections like the Wellcome Collection and the U.S. National Library of Medicine.

This is history, not medical advice. Many of these treatments were harmful, so please don't try them, and talk to a doctor about your own health.
