Township Digital Museums

Township Digital Museum is a pioneering community-led initiative by Inkaba Strategic Projects dedicated to preserving, documenting and sharing the history, culture and stories of Townships through digital technology. By combining film, photography, oral histories, archives and interactive media, the museum transforms township heritage into a living digital experience that is accessible to everyone. The initiative is being developed as the world's first dedicated township digital museum - an innovative model that reimagines how township history is preserved and experienced. It ensures that the voices, memories and contributions of Langa's people are recorded, celebrated, and passed on to future generations.
