Thundergod Racing

Hi, I'm Duncan Beard, owner, driver & tuner of the 'Thundergod' supercharged, methanol burning, 'competition altered' dragster. I've been a drag racing spectator since 1982 but never participated until 2017. I formed a team with Des Taylor and he drove the car, to an eventual best of 7.50 seconds at 180mph. I started to learn to drive it in 2021 and in 2023 I ran pbs of 8.4 seconds at 156mph. Des retired from driving so I took over for the 2025 season, looking forward to running my first '7', something I've dreamed of for 40 years. We struggled with electrical issues throughout the season but finally at the Hot Rod Drags at Santa Pod it worked & all 5 runs were 7s, culminating in a 7.55 @ 181mph. In 2026 I have only been running at Melbourne Raceway, Yorkshire. Many thanks to Leading Solvent Supplies for providing high quality methanol at a good price. They sell a range of automotive paint, solvents, sealers etc under the Dinitrol and MPEX brands. https://www.leading-solvents.co.uk/
