The Wrong Order

The Wrong Order is a focused natural history channel exploring birds that challenge our expectations of how nature is supposed to work.

Rather than tidy explanations or perfect evolutionary stories, the channel looks at how birds actually function — the constraints they operate under, the trade-offs they carry, and the narrow margins that allow some species to survive at all.

Through structured, subject-focused deep dives into avian biology, evolution, anatomy, behaviour, ecology, and extinction, The Wrong Order examines birds that feel unusual, extreme, or quietly out of place — not because they are broken, but because they work just well enough.

This is natural history at the edge of what’s workable.
