The Vertical Border (Film)

People across the world are fleeing hunger, climate disaster and violence in their countries. The Vertical Border (Mexico, 2022) focuses on Central Americans who head to Mexico and the United States in search of a livable life. This feature-length documentary looks at what happens when forced migrants claim dignity and rights, but arrive to a hostile welcome. The film is a co-production by PPD-CIDE and Habesha Media. 

The Drug Policy Program at CIDE (PPD-CIDE) pursues interdisciplinary social science research on drugs and drug policy. HABESHA is a non-profit organization that creates higher education opportunities for refugees in Mexico.
