THE UNFINISHED MAP

America is full of roads that lead nowhere, tunnels that were sealed, railroads that disappeared, bridges that lost their purpose, and megaprojects that were never finished.

The Unfinished Map explores the forgotten infrastructure hiding in plain sight — abandoned highways, lost railways, unfinished tunnels, failed megaprojects, erased routes, and the engineering decisions that changed the American landscape.

Through maps, historical records, photographs, and the remains that still exist today, we uncover what was planned, what went wrong, and what was left behind.

Every abandoned project leaves a mark on the map. We find it.
