The TMax is a globe-trotting polyglot, American expat, who decided to move to China for 3 years to learn Mandarin Chinese and explore the Far East. Join his adventures as he shares the culture shock of an American assimilating to Chinese culture in Beijing. 

On this channel you will find travel vlogs from around China, videos discussing the difficulty of learning Mandarin Chinese, and videos explaining specific cultural phenomena that only The TMax notices and needs to explain. He often makes funny skits to help describe his unique situations, and even makes music videos from time to time to drive the cultural points home!

This vlog also chronicles The TMax's experience living in China during the coronavirus pandemic. He shares his thoughts and insight on how normal daily life shifted and the impact of covid on the locals, as well as other foreigners living in China during that time.
